Warrior Woodtreat Copal Varnish is an Alkyd Varnish recommended for interior use on wood surfaces. It provides an attractive economical gloss finish, which brings out the beauty of natural or stained timber.

SPECIFICATION OR RECOMMENDED PAINT SYSTEM :

SURFACE PREPARATION :

New Wood Surfaces : All surfaces must be sanded smooth clean and dry.

Previously Treated Wood Surfaces : All painted or varnished surfaces must be stripped chemically or mechanically back to the bare wood. Sand the bare wood to a smooth finish and ensure surface is clean, firm and dry before applying Woodtreat Copal Varnish.

RECOMMENDED APPLICATION :

Always stir contents well before use. In addition stir occasionally during application.

It is recommended that the 1 st coat be thinned 10-15% by volume with Warrior Mineral Turps. The 2 nd and 3 rd coats must not be thinned. Allow 24 hours drying time in between coats. It is important to sand lightly between coats for a good finish.

• PRIMER COAT: 6 m 2 per litre
• FINAL COAT: 8-10 m 2 per litre

DRYING TIMES:

• SURFACE DRY: 3-4 hours
• HARD DRY: 16 hours
• OVERCOATING: 24 hours

PACK SIZE: 1L, 5L

COLOUR RANGE: Clear and tinted colours

(Mahogany, Light Oak, Dark Oak,

Teak, Meranti and Imbuia)

SPECIFIC GRAVITY: 0,85 + 0,05 kg per litre

VISCOSITY: 50 – 60 “F4

FLASH POINT: >35ºC

FINISH: Gloss

GENERAL :

• Not recommended for exterior use due to its limited UV Resistance.
• Not recommended for use on floors or working surfaces eg. counters, desktops etc.
• It is impor­tant that this product be thoroughly mixed with a flat paddle before use.
