First Choice Alkali Resistant Plaster Primer is an economical solvent based white pigmented primer/sealer which is formulated to resist the effects of alkalinity on subsequent coats of paint.
USES :
First Choice Alkali Resistant Plaster Primer is recommended for use on brick, plaster, concrete, fibre-cement surface, rhinolite and masonry surfaces.
SPECIFICATION OR RECOMMENDED PAINT SYSTEM :
- Surface preparation and application : Essential for good paint performance is a sound substrate that has been properly prepared and cleaned. The standard conditions for the preparation of plastered/masonry surfaces apply.
- Surface preparation for old/previously painted masonry surfaces: Previously painted surfaces in poor condition must be stripped back to a firm base or the original substrate. All lime washed/distempered surfaces must be removed. All surfaces must be clean, dry and free of dirt and surface contamination before any application of paint.

- PRIMER COAT : 6-8 m² per litre (depending on surface porosity)

- SURFACE DRY : 1-2 hours
- HARD DRY : 4 hours
- OVERCOATING : 16 hours
